Larch Networks, a leading developer of enterprise and industrial Ethernet solutions, is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with Pantheon, a technology company specializing in network management and automation systems. The partnership focuses on integrating extended gNMI (gRPC Network Management Interface) capabilities into enterprise-grade SONiC NOS, unlocking new levels of visibility, control, and automation for open networking environments.
Pantheon is developing a management platform for SONiC NOS built around extended gNMI, designed to simplify configuration, monitoring, and orchestration across multi-vendor networks. In parallel, the Larch Networks engineering team is implementing the extended gNMI support within enterprise SONiC, ensuring seamless compatibility between the network operating system and Pantheon’s management suite.
Alexander Gribenko (BD, Larch Networks).
“Our collaboration with Pantheon brings together deep expertise in SONiC development and next-generation network management. This integration enables operators to deploy SONiC-based solutions with enterprise-level reliability, observability, and automation.”
This joint effort is part of the companies’ partnership program, aimed at accelerating adoption of open, standards-based network solutions in enterprise and telecom environments. By extending the capabilities of gNMI beyond its traditional scope, the project enhances real-time telemetry, configuration management, and lifecycle control in SONiC-powered networks.
Miroslav Mikluš (Chief Product & Marketing Officer PANTHEON.tech):
“Open-source collaboration has been at the core of PANTHEON.tech since the beginning. As a member of the SONiC Foundation, we are proud to see more companies joining the ecosystem and adopting open standards such as gNMI to strengthen interoperability and automation. It’s encouraging to witness the growing interest in extending SONiC beyond hyperscale use cases into enterprise data centers. This continued expansion shows the maturity of the ecosystem and the value of open development in shaping the future of networking.”
