Hardened SONiC is now running on Marvell’s Ironman

We announce the addition of SONiC support for a new family of switching devices based on the Marvell Ironman chipset family. This development expands the Larch Networks SONiC hardware ecosystem and enables customers to deploy SONiC on compact, power-efficient access switching platforms designed for modern enterprise, industrial, and edge networking use cases.

The newly supported platforms include Ironman-based devices with integrated ARM A55 CPU, DDR4 memory, eMMC storage, and flexible 1G/10G Ethernet port configurations. Initial supported models include:

  • LN-1524G4MG-6XGF
  • LN-1524G-4XGF-V6

With this release, Larch Networks SONiC enables core switching functionality on Ironman-based platforms, including system bring-up, platform integration, port management, interface configuration, transceiver support, and standard SONiC management workflows.

The new platform support helps customers benefit from the SONiC ecosystem while using hardware optimized for access-level deployments. By combining SONiC with Marvell Ironman-based devices, Larch Networks provides a foundation for open, programmable, and vendor-flexible switching infrastructure.
