Larch Networks is joining Amphenol at the Aerospace&Defense TSN Summit in Novi, Michigan, to show a live Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) system built for mission-critical avionics and defense platforms.
The demonstration combines Amphenol’s rugged hardware with Larch Networks’ TSN software stack. Amphenol is bringing its F-16 and Zeroize units and the 3U Aldrin 1 board. Larch Networks is contributing two IronMan units and our TSN software, running across the whole setup.
The stack includes the following capabilities:
- gPTP (IEEE 802.1AS): precise time synchronization across the network, which deterministic scheduling depends on.
- Scheduled traffic (IEEE 802.1Qbv): time-aware shaping that guarantees bounded latency for critical flows.
- FRER (IEEE 802.1CB): frame replication and elimination for seamless redundancy, so a single link or node failure doesn’t interrupt critical traffic.
- Per-stream filtering and policing (IEEE 802.1Qci): protection against misbehaving or faulty streams, isolating faults before they spread.
The system targets the IEEE 802.1DP / SAE AS6675 TSN profile for aerospace onboard Ethernet. This joint standard defines how TSN should be applied in aircraft and defense systems. Aligning with it gives integrators a clear path toward interoperable, certifiable deterministic networking on standard Ethernet.
See You at TSN Summit!
